Members’ Council The Members’ Council meets at least four times per year and supports
the Trust Board of Directors in setting the strategic direction of the Trust and
the Trust’s performance targets. It also has a role in ensuring that the Trust operates
in accordance with NHS principles, in particular the shaping of services around
the needs and preferences of individual patients, their families and carers.
The Members’ Council consists of 23 elected members (13 from the Public constituencies,
4 from the Users’ and Carers’ constituency and 6 from the Staff constituency) and
8 appointed members representing local statutory and voluntary partner organisations.
